Arborist Reports also referred to as Tree Reports establish the Health and condition of a tree. These reports are produced by our AQF Level 5 Arborists. It will address areas such as defects, damage, pest and disease or mechanical injury, vigour and vitality. The report will make recommendations which may include remediation, recommendations on pest and disease treatment or pruning required.

WHY ARE ARBORIST REPORTS IMPORTANT?

Arborist Reports provide information on the condition and health of trees and relevant problems associated with the tree. Tree reports identify the probable cause and what actions can be taken to mitigate the problem. These are an important tool for councils to make sound decisions when approving the removal of large or significant trees on the likely impact on the surrounding vegetation.

DO I NEED AN ARBORIST REPORT BY AN AQF LEVEL 5 ARBORIST?

Most councils require an arborist report when submitting an application to prune or  remove a tree. Council may decline an application to prune or remove a tree if the condition of the tree is uncertain. They may ask for an arborist report by an AQF Level 5 Arborist in these instances.

Arborist or tree report may also be requested for Development and these are referred to Arboricultural Impact Assessment Reports.

Arborist reports may also be requested by individuals who want to know the condition of their tree(s) or for safety reasons. This is also sometimes referred to as a Tree Hazard Evaluation Report or a health sand condition report

They may also be requested when there are trees located on development sites and the impact of the development on the trees needs to be ascertained.

WHO CAN DO ARBORIST REPORTS?

In Australia A minimum of a diploma in arboriculture AQF Level 5 Arborist Qualification. Modern Tree Consultants consulting Arborists have AQF Level 5. In addition our consultants have further training in tree risk assessment and  have worked for both private and government agencies and are therefore very familiar with the information that is required within these type of reports.
